With the Eames Special Collection 2023, Vitra is reissuing selected iconic designs by Charles and Ray Eames.
New surfaces, fabrics and colours have been created in collaboration with the Eames Office – in keeping with the colour palette and material world of the famous designer couple.

This is the Eames Special Collection 2023
The Eames Special Collection presents the Organic Conference chair in three fabric variations by Kvadrat, the Eames Elephant Plywood in dark green stained wood,
the Wool Blanket in Bordeaux, the Plywood Mobile in two different colour combinations of pink, red and bordeaux as well as the House Bird in green
and pale pink.
The products from the Eames Special Collection are limited and available at selected retailers until the end of January 2024.
For the Eames Special Collection 2023, the wood of the Eames Elephant in stained a dark green. The transparent colour allows the grain shines through and gives the surface liveliness.

Inspired by Ray’s passion for floral arrangements, the three variations of the Ria fabric by Kvadrat evoke the memory of fields and flowers in bloom and give Organic Conference a fresh, floral expression.

Digital Vitra Session “Eames” on 19 October
70 years ago, Willi Fehlbaum, the founder of Vitra, travelled to New York and discovered an Eames chair by chance. This was the beginning of the joint history of Charles and Ray Eames and Vitra.
What happened afterwards? Find out! The 30-minute digital Vitra Session from 19 October 2023, entitled “Eames”, looks at this unique partnership spanning three generations and features several members of the Eames and Fehlbaum families.
