Processing Purpose and Legal Basis

We only save your data to respond to requests, to fulfill and execute contracts and for our own advertising purposes. Processing is carried out on the basis of current data protection laws.
If you have a request, would like to receive an offer from us or would like to conclude a contract with us, we will process your personal data. Depending on the type of contract, this may include your surname, first name, address, email address, telephone/fax number, and, if applicable, your date/place of birth, bank details and VAT ID number. We will save and process this data in our customer management system to fulfill and execute contracts and for our own advertising purposes. Your data will not be provided to other third parties.

Outsourced data processing

We have entered into an agreement with Google for the outsourcing of our data processing and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.

Demographic data collection by Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics’ demographic features. This allows reports to be generated containing statements about the age, gender, and interests of site visitors. This data comes from interest-based advertising from Google and third-party visitor data. This collected data cannot be attributed to any specific individual person. We only use your data for our own advertising purposes. We want to inform you about new products, our services and interesting events. The newsletter is sent via “MailChimp”, a newsletter distribution platform of the US provider Rocket Science Group, LLC, 675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE #5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA.

The e-mail addresses of our newsletter recipients, as well as their other data described in the context of this notice, are stored on the servers of MailChimp in the USA. MailChimp uses this information to send and evaluate newsletters on our behalf. Furthermore, according to its own information, MailChimp may use this data to optimise or improve its own services, e.g. for the technical optimisation of the dispatch and presentation of the newsletter or for economic purposes in order to determine from which countries the recipients come. However, MailChimp does not use the data of our newsletter recipients to write to them or pass them on to third parties.

Statistical survey and analysis

The newsletters contain a so-called “web-beacon”, i.e. a pixel-sized file that is retrieved from the MailChimp server when the newsletter is opened. Within the scope of this retrieval, technical information such as information about the browser and your system, as well as your IP address and time of retrieval are first collected. This information is used to technically improve the services on the basis of the technical data or the target groups and their reading behaviour on the basis of their retrieval locations (which can be determined with the help of the IP address) or access times.

The statistical surveys also include determining whether the newsletters are opened, when they are opened and which links are clicked. For technical reasons, this information can be assigned to the individual newsletter recipients. However, it is neither our nor MailChimp’s aim to observe individual users. The evaluations serve us much more to recognize the reading habits of our users and to adapt our contents to them or to send different contents according to the interests of our users.

Data processing in the contact form

The Mathes GmbH & Co. KG. processes the data you enter in the contact form in order to process your request. We will only pass on your personal data to third parties if this is necessary to fulfil your request. The legal basis for the processing of your personal data depends on your request and may result from a contract with you, your consent or a weighing of our legitimate interest in providing you with good service. We process your data until the revocation of your consent until your objection or until the settlement of your request. The processing of your request is not possible without your e-mail address to contact you. We use salutations and names to address you personally.

Data Storage Duration

We will save your data for as long as required for the respective purpose. Corresponding data deletion systems are available and permanently adjusted to legal and changed conditions.
If tax law requires storage periods for certain data that we process for the execution of purchase contracts (document data), the storage period will last 6 or 10 years. During this period, processing of the respective data will be limited. Such storage obligations will begin at the end of the calendar year in which the offer was submitted or the contract was fulfilled.

Advertisement Refusal

Applicant Data Privacy

We collect and process personal information from applicants for the purpose of processing the application process. The processing can also be done digitally. This is always the case if an applicant sends us application documents digitally, for example by e-mail or via a web form that is possible on our website. If we conclude a contract of employment with applicants, the transmitted data will be stored for the purpose of the employment contract in compliance with the legal regulations. If no employment contract is concluded with the applicant, the application documents will be automatically deleted six months after completion of the application process, provided that deletion does not conflict with any other legitimate interests, such as a burden of proof in proceedings under the General Equal Treatment Act.

Automated decision-making

Currently we do not use automatic decision making or profiling.
